Sunday 19th April

King and Queen of the Beach 2km and 5km. Replacing our beloved King and Queen of the Mountain while Mauao undergoes extensive repairs from the tragic January storm.

Saturday 2nd May 2026

Walnut Grove Relay at Waipuna Park. A fun 1km lap suitable for all ages and abilities. Teams made up on the day. Meet 1:45pm for a 2pm start. All welcome.

Rotorua Marathon and associated events including the WaiBOP Marathon Champs and the NZ Masters Marathon Champs. More information here.

BOP Secondary Schools XC Champs, Waipuna Park, Welcome Bay

Sunday 17th May 2026

McLarens Falls Pack Runs. Meet in the park next to the cafe at 9am. Explore the beautiful trails within the park, multiple packs of varying paces, from half an hour up to an hour +. Feel free to hang round for a coffee after!

Saturday 23rd May 2026

Tauranga Open XC, Waipuna Park. The largest XC event we host each season, races for all age groups. Clubs and schools from all around BOP & Waikato attend but it is open to everyone, you do not need to be a club member. Races start from 12:30pm. Helpers needed to set up and marshal - working bee starts from 9am. Prize giving and afternoon tea after the final race.

Sunday 7th June 2026

Huharua Park, Plummers Point Road, incorporating the Willacy Memorial Handicap Trophies. We set up an approx 2km course on this beautiful park bordering the harbour.

For points series - Under 12's 2km, U14/U16/Walkers 4km, U18/U20/Women/MM65+ 6km, Men 20-64 8km. However we are also flexible, if you want to do more or less you are more than welcome! Perfect for a training session, race practice or social walk, bring the whole family.

Meet at 8:45am for a 9am start.

Nelson Memorial Handicap 8.6km run around Waikareao Estuary. Shorter options for youth and walkers. Trophies up for grabs. Meet at the bottom of Coach Drive, Otumoetai. Followed by an afternoon tea and a chance to get together as the final outing for the 2025 winter season. Everyone welcome, you do not need to be a club member to participate! Meet at 1:45pm for a 2pm start.
